This page explains which personal data this website processes, according to Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In short: no cookies for visitors, no tracking, no analytics and no third-party services.

2. Hosting
This website runs on a virtual server rented from Clouding.io (Spain, European Union), which processes data on my behalf as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR). All data stays in the EU.
3. Server log files
When you open a page, the web server automatically records: your IP address, date and time, the requested address, the HTTP status code, the referring page and your browser’s user-agent string. I use these logs only to run the website and keep it secure (for example, to detect and block attacks). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). The logs are deleted automatically after 14 days. IP addresses that repeatedly attack the server can be blocked temporarily by an automatic firewall.
4. Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies for visitors. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device; it is never sent to the server. This is strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). Cookies are only set when the site administrator logs in.
5. Contact form and e-mail
If you use the contact form, your name, e-mail address and message are sent to my e-mail address at the Technical University of Munich, which processes e-mail on its own systems. They are not stored on this website. To prevent spam, a salted hash of your IP address is kept for at most one hour to limit the number of messages; it is then deleted automatically. If you write to me by e-mail, I receive the data you send. I use this data only to answer you and delete it when the conversation is finished, unless I need to keep it longer. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
6. No third-party services
Fonts, icons and the PDF viewer are hosted on this server. The website uses no analytics, no advertising, no social-media plugins and no embedded videos or maps, so no data is passed to third parties when you visit it. Links to other websites (for example publishers, LinkedIn or YouTube) only send data to them when you click them; their own privacy policies then apply.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, write to the e-mail address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian authority: Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
